What is the point of having a BBC "sports personality of the year" award for 2007?

They should give it to Lewis Hamilton now and put something decent on the BBC in it's place at the end of the year.

  1. yeah - it is shit these days
  2. To waste, more of our time.
  3. I don't see the point in that award at all, well at least the name of it. Most winners of this "title" have little or no personality what-so-ever. I am all for rewarding someone who has exceeded in their field but let's call it something more apt. Like "Sports Achiever of the Year" award.
  4. I know what you are saying and Lewis will get it. But seeing as they give awards out for everything these days, Comedy, News programme, Film, Presenter, Best Chef, Best Soap, Best Towel, its only fair that they carry on with this farce.
  5. Will i get Yahoo best nicest cutest lovliest desireablest knowledgeablest brainiest likeabliest awards or will they share them out with some one else Yahoo bestiest
  6. the bbc are rip off.
  7. Cheap TV! And a corrupt way of paying themselves a lot for doing a little!
  8. I think we all know who will win but wow what an achievement. England has world champion! (to be!) All those who put him down are the ones who will costantly complain about not having a decent mentor for the people of this country. Celebrate his success and we all may succeed!
